At Columbus Early Learning Centers we believe the strength of our program is largely due to the education, experience, and practice of our staff. Our team is expected to meet the highest industry standards while also continuing to engage in professional development throughout their career with us.

Our CEO

Dr. Gina Ginn has served as Columbus Early Learning Centers’ Chief Executive Officer since June 2015. After earning a bachelor’s degree in environmental and biological sciences from the University of Cincinnati, she attended The Ohio State University where she completed a master’s degree in educational policy and leadership and a Ph.D. in workforce development. During her tenure, CELC has been awarded the 2018 United Way of Central Ohio’s Richard V. Carrick Community Award and The Columbus Foundation’s Top 5 Nonprofits to Watch in 2019. Most recently in 2024, Dr. Ginn was named a “Hometown Hero” thanks to Major League Soccer, Black Players for Change, and RBC Wealth Management.

Dr. Ginn was selected as one of the Columbus’ 40 Under 40 (2014), selected as one of the Top 19 Nonprofit Innovators (2019), received the Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Community Service Nonprofit Executive Director of the Year (2020) and was honored with the Columbus Smart50 Award (2021). She currently serves as a member of the City of Columbus Women’s Commission, the City of Columbus Recovery and Resilience Advisory Committee, and is on the Board of Directors for the Human Service Chamber of Franklin County.
