Broad Street Center
at Broad Street Presbyterian Church
Located just east of Downtown Columbus, our Broad Street Center is a favorite for parents working downtown. We enroll children ages 6 weeks through 5 years of age and work closely with families to meet each individual child’s needs. In addition, our partners at Broad Street Presbyterian Food Pantry generously work with families from all four of our locations to provide a monthly "CELC Family Food Night."
Center Director: Marla Tiano
Marla has served as the Broad Street Center Director since January 2015. She has extensive experience working with Head Start programs and with various for-profit and non-profit agencies in the community— where she has served as a classroom teacher, a literacy specialist, a coach mentor, and as an administrator. Marla holds a Bachelor’s degree in home economics with a specialization in family relations and human development from The Ohio State University.
In Marla’s current position, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the building, staff management, and communication with our families. Down the road, Marla looks to expand this role to increase parent engagement opportunities and family programming while maintaining the high standard of childcare and early childhood education that our program has in the community. Through her experiences at CELC, she has found a new respect and appreciation for the work that infant and toddler teachers perform on a daily basis.
