About Columbus Early Learning Centers
Kim Fulton, Executive Director
Dedicated teachers are trained in the most up-to-the-minute ways to enhance each child’s learning experience. We start with the Foundation – using The Creative Curriculum and its five components:
- How Children Develop and Learn - understanding the uniqueness of each child
- The Learning Environment – educational environments that make learning fun
- What Children Learn – literacy, math, science, social studies, arts and technology
- The Teacher’s Role – careful observation leads to a variety of teaching strategies
- The Family’s Role – partnership with each family to find the best way to support the child’s development.

Busy Minds and Bodies Need Good Nutrition. Each Center Provides at least 2 hot meals – breakfast and lunch – and snacks served family style in each classroom. The Northside Center, open until 8 p.m., serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Fees: Our centers provide services to families based on their ability to pay. We can help families find the support they need through Title XX, the Early Learning Initiative (ELI) and other subsidized child care programs, to ensure their child is receiving a good education in a loving environment. Call the center closest to you for more information.
In addition, special programs are an important part of each center’s programs and include:
- Drama
- Cultural celebrations
- Community trips
- Activities with community artists and performers
Back Up Care Advantage Program: Sometimes parents/caregivers need child care to meet a specific need – a day or two, four days, a week. If you need temporary child care in a safe, loving, educational environment, we are able to help. Contact the Back Up Care Advantage Program at 1-800-699-8011 ext. 2199. Ask for Carey.
